In 1991 when this shot was taken, the 173 RS was still operating RF-4C's. Unfortunately (especially for us 'Double Ugly' fans) they now operate KC-135's as the 173 ARS.

I first met Doug at PhanCon '97 held at Holloman AFB in October 1997 and since then I've had the pleasure to shoot alongside him (If you pardon the expression!) on a couple more occasions (PhanCon's 98 & 99). I'd always been (and still am) a big fan of Doug's work so I'm glad to be able to present a few of his slides I've accumulated over the past few years.

Doug's slides are available for sale, so if your interested please contact him at vortexphoto@aol.com
