5 RF-4C's remain unidentified. 10 RF-4Cs (8 plus 2 air spares) departed Lincoln on the 1 May, they proceeded to Torrejon AB, Spain and after a crew rest, attempted to carry on to Eskisehir, however only 6 got away, 2 went tech, and did not complete the trip till 6 May. Departed to Torrejon AB and stayed until 18 May when they departed back to Lincoln.

This was the first overseas squadron-sized deployment of the F-111D and the first to Boscombe Down. During the course of two weeks, 282 training sorties were flown. EC-135K 55-3118 8 TDCS which arrived at Mildenhall 7 June was probably the Command Post for their return to CONUS.

Arrived as Anzak 11-14, 21-24. 2 RF4Cs Anzac 23/24 diverted to RAF Alconbury, they departed to Eggebek 31 May. Command Post for the eastbound leg was EC-135K 55-3118 8TDCS which landed at Mildenhall, 29 May. Stopped at RAF Alconbury 8 June en route to CONUS as Thief 11-14, 21-24. Departed on 11 June bound for home (KC-135A 59-1518 8 TDCS arrived at Mildenhall on the 10 June to escort them home) but 3 RF-4Cs (unknown serials) returned to Alconbury due to technical problems and departed to CONUS later (unknown date)

(It was reported at the time that the 336 TFS moved on to Murted AB, Turkey after?). 334 TFS arrived 28 August departed 29 September. Command Post was again 55-3118 which landed at Mildenhall, 28 August.

The deployment was originally due to go to Larissa AB in Greece between 19 September and 15 October but the Greeks withdrew permission for the deployment, forcing the diversion to Alconbury. They arrived as Job 11-14, 21-24 (Command Post EC-135K 55-3118) and departed as Oxide 11-14, 21-24. 55-3118 being the escort home again, arriving at Mildenhall on the 9 October.

58 TFS was originally due to deploy 12 F-15s to Bremgarten AB as CORONET BARRELL (7/7/80 - 30/7/80) but it remained unfunded and the actual deployment never took place. 8 TDCS EC-135K 55-3118 escorted the deployment to and from Europe, landing at Mildenhall on 2 October and at Fairford on 4 November. The 58 TFS Flew a total of 1001 sorties during deployment!
[1] Went unserviceable and relocated to Soesterberg on 6 November, finally departing to CONUS on 14 November.
